1) The necropolis of Pantalica (Sortino), the archeological sites and Ortigia (Siracusa).

Just a few kilometers away from Sortino and Ferla, it is possible to visit the ancient site of Pantalica (XIII-VII cc. B.C), the largest necropolis in the whole Europe, one of the most important Sicilian archaeological sites, included on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The place has been inhabitated since the BornzeAge and destroyed before 664 B.C., to experience a second birth later, under the Byzantine and Arab dominations. It overlooks the lush valleys of crossed by the rivers Anapo and Calcinara. You can visit Pantalica from Sortino (short trip) or Ferla (long trip). A total of 2100 graves skilfully dug outin the hard rock of the high and sheer waslls.

Pantalica (Sortino side) it take about 40 minutes walk.

Pantalica (Ferla side) is more beautiful than the Sortino side and there is about 15 Kms trail.

2) Fontane bianche beach (Siracusa); the natural reserve of Vendicari and Noto or Siracusa.

The territory of Syracuse offers some beautiful natural oasis, such as “Vendicari”, a natural reserve since 1984, where, every year, hundreds of species of birds rest in their way to the sone of repouction. It is possible to adimire the typical Mediterranean bus and it contains some interesting archaelocigacl jewels tha reveal the story of its inhabitants since the prehistoric period.
